Flow in the Forest is a grassroots gathering for people who love flow and fire arts, and for anyone who wants to begin or continue their journey in the wider flow community.
At the heart of the event are workshops, practice spaces and shared learning. You might come to develop your poi, staff, hoop, juggling, dragon staff, contact, dance or movement skills. You might come because you are starting out and want a welcoming place to learn. You might already perform and want to grow your craft, build confidence, connect with other artists, or explore the professional side of what you do.
But Flow in the Forest is not only about spinning props...

It is also about the culture around the community: making things, repairing things, playing games, crafting, spending time outdoors, sharing knowledge, respecting the land, and creating a temporary home where people can be creative together.
Our maker and craft space, Spinning Yarns, holds space for this side of the event, with opportunities to make, mend, learn and create alongside others.
In the evenings, the event opens into a different kind of energy. We host a managed fire practice jam space with fuel and safety provided, supported by Fire Marshals and proper procedures so people can spin in a safer, more supported environment.
DJs will play in the fire space, creating a place to practise, watch, socialise and enjoy the atmosphere.

There will also be food and drink vendors, handmade and mostly upcycled circus and festival clothing, accessories, props and stalls from people within the wider community.
The New Age Collective Stage will bring home-grown live music and evening performances to the Earth Stage, while our in-house evening bar, The Cinnabar, offers a place to gather, unwind and connect at the end of the day.
Safety, sobriety and fire
Flow in the Forest is safety-led and community-focused. There is no bar on site, and anyone taking part in fire activities must be sober, inducted and following the fire safety rules. Alcohol in moderation is allowed, but intoxication that creates risk, disrupts others or affects fire safety will not be accepted.
Please read our Code of Conduct before coming
We've listened to your feedback and are happy to confirm that the Fire Space will be bigger, with more room to flow and with seating areas and a stronger social space for people to gather, watch, rest and connect.
Friday Metal Night is back
Our metal night returns to the Fire Space on Friday, and this year we’re making it even better. If you have metal tracks you love to flow to, or songs you’d love to hear in the Fire Space, please send your suggestions to: flowintheforest@gmail.com
Saturday Psytrance, Jungle and Drum & Bass
On Saturday, expect psychedelic sounds, jungle and drum and bass carrying the fire into the night, with space for both movement and community around the edges.
Sunday Psydub Flowdown
Sunday night will bring things into a softer, deeper landing with chilled, flowy psydub vibes in the Fire Space. Expect warm bass, spacious grooves and slower, more hypnotic sounds for people who want to move, stretch, spin, unwind or simply settle into the final night together. A gentler close to the weekend, with room to flow, breathe and soak it all in.
