At Flow in the Forest 2026, we want to offer something a bit different. This is not your typical commercial Festival. We offer a comprehensive workshop program for people who are interested in flow arts, fire spinning, circus, aerial, pole, movement, performance, creativity and community. Some people come as experienced performers or teachers, some come as hobbyists, and others come because they want a supportive space to keep learning and developing around these art forms.
The event sits somewhere between a training gathering, a convention, a retreat and a small festival. During the day, the focus is on workshops, skill-sharing and continued professional development. In the evening, there is music, social space, fire practice, performances and time to connect with other people in the wider flow and circus world.
The programme covers a wide mix of topics, including prop manipulation, poi, staff, hoop, juggling, aerial, movement, dance, clowning, choreography, act development, fire safety, performance skills, creative practice, wellbeing, environmental awareness, costume up-cycling, social media skills, crafting and maker skills, networking and practical professional development for people who want to take their practice further.
We hope that you enjoyed last years program, this year we will have some returning familiar faces instructing such as Staff Doctor, SAI and Cosmic Circus, Spinning Yarns, along with some new faces such as Elke Bucher, Steve Bullen, Connor Wolf and more. Overall there will be more than 50 workshops to attend that are included in the price of your ticket, these workshops are roughly 50 minutes long, and they take place on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, between 10am and 5:30pm with the latest workshop finishing by 6pm if it's a 90 minute one.

One of the aims of Flow in the Forest is to help people continue developing as artists, teachers, performers and practitioners. That includes the technical side of training, but also the less visible parts of professional practice: confidence, safety, risk awareness, creative identity, working with audiences, understanding your responsibilities, movement work, artistic development and being part of a community that looks after each other.
We also take safety and conduct seriously. Flow in the Forest has a clear Code of Conduct built around respect, consent, inclusion, boundaries and care for the people around us. Because fire practice is part of the event, we also have clear sobriety expectations around fire spaces and safety-sensitive activities. We are not trying to create a dry, joyless environment, but we do want the training and fire elements to remain safe, responsible and accessible to people who prefer a more grounded atmosphere.
We are currently looking for volunteer workshop hosts to help shape the programme at Flow in the Forest. We would love to hear from people who can offer sessions in wellness, movement, performance arts, flow arts, fire arts, dance, clowning, voice, embodiment, creativity, confidence building, performer development, or anything that feels useful to our community. You do not need to be a huge name or have a perfectly polished workshop; we are interested in people who have something thoughtful, safe and meaningful to share.
Flow in the Forest is about learning from each other, building confidence, developing skills and creating a supportive space where beginners, hobbyists and experienced practitioners can grow together.

We will release the timetable soon, and workshops will be added to the website over June, so keep your eyes peeled for those, but to stay up to date with all the news and updates, please find us on Instagram or Facebook and follow us to receive notifications about important information, line up news and more about the event.
Safety, sobriety and fire
Flow in the Forest is safety-led and community-focused. There is the intention to have a small evening bar on site, however, anyone taking part in fire practice activities in the fire space must be sober, inducted and following the fire safety rules.
Alcohol in moderation is allowed, but intoxication that creates risk, disrupts others or affects fire safety will not be accepted.
Please read our Code of Conduct before coming.
We've listened to your feedback and are happy to confirm that the Fire Space will be bigger, with more room to flow and with seating areas and a stronger social space for people to gather, watch, rest and connect.
Friday Metal Night is back
Our metal night returns to the Fire Space on Friday, and this year we’re making it even better. If you have metal tracks you love to flow to, or songs you’d love to hear in the Fire Space, please send your suggestions to: flowintheforest@gmail.com
Saturday Psytrance, Jungle and Drum & Bass
On Saturday, expect psychedelic sounds, jungle and drum and bass carrying the fire into the night, with space for both movement and community around the edges.
Sunday Psydub Flowdown
Sunday night will bring things into a softer, deeper landing with chilled, flowy psydub vibes in the Fire Space. Expect warm bass, spacious grooves and slower, more hypnotic sounds for people who want to move, stretch, spin, unwind or simply settle into the final night together. A gentler close to the weekend, with room to flow, breathe and soak it all in.
